Privacy statement

Last updated 6 July 2026

We keep this short because we collect very little. This statement explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect

You can read every lesson on this site without an account, and in that case we collect nothing that identifies you. If you create an account, we collect your email address, an optional display name, and your learning progress (lessons completed, quiz scores and badges earned).

What we use it for

Only to run the site: signing you in, saving your progress, and showing your badges. We do not sell your information, we do not show advertising, and we do not share your information with third parties except the service providers that host the site and its database.

Children

Our Explorers tier is designed for ages 8 to 12. Children can use all learning content without an account. We recommend that a parent or caregiver creates and oversees any account for a child under 13. We never ask children for personal details beyond an email address for sign-in, and our lessons actively teach children not to share personal information with AI tools.

Where your data lives

Account and progress data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) in the Asia-Pacific region.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and all associated data. Use the contact page and we will respond promptly.
